He attended holy trinity catholic church in georgetown that morning before joniing president eisenhower to travel to the capitol. The congress had extended the east front, and the inaugural platform spanned the new addition. The oath of office was administered by chief justice earl warren. Robert frost read one of his poems at hte ceremony. The parade from the capitol to the whiet house gave those who lined the streets a chance to get a look at their new young president and his lovely wife jacqueline. The photos make the colors look lighter than they are. The plates are made to be reflectvie which makes it more difficult to photograph them with a flash. The blues and reds are as deep and rich as they were the day they would have come down pennsylvania avenue. Youve probably looked at the photographs provided for this auction before readign this. I put the kennedy inaugural license plate in a position so the rarest versions of the mass cards fro each of the three kennedy brothers would be seen by those who stop to look at this auction. For my own reasons i like to do small things so people remember these brothers. Jfk and rfk will be remembered, hated and admirde long after i'm gone. But then there is joe, he may as well ont have ever existed. People forget he too made teh ultimate sacrifice for our country, he just less time than his brothers. Joe jr.
Was given no time at all to achieve what he may have had he not been killed in auction during wwii at such a young age. Also think of hte millions who came before us and left their mark, maybe not in recorder american history.
